Dear Mrs. Zrihen,
I just finished reading more fairy tales from the Hans Christian Fairy tale book. In general I did not enjoy reading a lot because the stories were so boring. Two strategies I used before reading were: plan which stories I would read. And if they were uncommon fairy tales I would try to think about what it was by the name. Two I used while reading were write down the name of each story I read. And summarize each story. Two I used after each story where: decide if they were boring or not and decide if I liked it. Yes they are the same strategies I used last week. But I really use them.
I read a bunch of stories this week such as religious stories, humor stories, and scary stories. But my favorite has to be THE little match girl. I liked this story because it was sad and meaningful. The story was about a very poor girl walking around on the street trying to sell matches. No one would buy them, but she didn't dare go home because if her father found out she didn't sell anything he'd beet her. So she sat there freezing then she dessied to light one of the matches then a wonderful goose dinner appeared then she lit another and a beautiful Christmas tree came then she lit a third one and her grandmother (who is now dead) appeared and they went on a journey. The next morning the police came to see the girl dead, she froze to death smiling.
These stories were written in second person point of view. I would rate them 6/10 because I didn't really enjoy reading that much but the stories did teach a good lesson about greed, love, and happiness. I recommend these stories to older kids ages 13-20.
sincerely,
shianne
Dear Shianne,
ReplyDeleteI have alot of questions for you.
First, what was the sub genre of this book? How long did it take you to read it? would you recommend this book to me? what was your favorite part? which tale did you read from the fairy tales book? Did you see any unfamiliar words? if so how did you use context clues?
(if you did)
sincerely,
melinda hebert
Dear Shianne,
ReplyDeleteYou did a great readers journal but I some questions for you.
First what is your favorite part of this story? Can you elebrate on that? Did you understand all the words in this story? What is the sub genre? Do you like the startigies you used? Would you recommend it to a boy or girl?
Love,
Gabi <3
Dear Shianne,
ReplyDeleteGood readers journal but I still have some questions:
From the stories that you liked which one had a protagonist and an antagonist?
What was the genre?
What was the conflict in other good stories you read?
Check your spelling sometimes.
How many pages was the book?
Why did you pick this book?
What was the plot structure of one story?
Did you learn new vocabulary?
Was there a moral in story?
Theme?
What was the P.O.O of all the stories?
What was the setting of the best story you read?
Sincerely, Juan 702
Dear Gabby,
ReplyDeletethank you and my favorite part was when the girl died, but not in a cold way, I mean it taught a lesson that was to not be afraid of the outcome. I understood all the words. The sub genre was reilgous fiction. Yes, i liked my stratagies. any gender over 13.
Sincerely,
Shianne
Dear Melinda,
ReplyDeletethanks and,
the sub genre was religous fiction. It took me about 5 mins per story. I would not recommend this to you only because the stories are VERY boring. I did not see unfamiliar words. I read a lot like the red shoe, the tinderbox, the little mermaid and the princess and the pea and more
Sincerely,
Shianne
